1/2" Valve Series
Ritchie 1/2" valves are available in three
pressure ratings as shown below. Although different pressure
rated valves may be used in a fountain, each fountain will
only accommodate one size and configuration of valve. Use the 1/2" valve in all smaller Ritchie automatic waterers.

For use in all poly units. Protects the valve chamber and troughs from freezing. The immersion heater features a built in thermostat and is teflon coated to protect against corrosion. Plug in installation for ease in removal and replacement.
*Tip - remove immersion heater during the spring, summer and fall. Replace during cold winter months. This will help to elongate the life of your heater.
*Tip - the immersion heater DOES NOT protect the valve and the water line. For added protection, see the Self Regulating Heat Cable below.

Protects the valve and supply line from freezing. Built in
thermostat reduces heat as the temperature rises, but never
shuts off completely.

protect your vertical water supply line from freezing. Ritchie Thermal Tubes provides TWO INCHES of insulation all around with an r-Factor of 7 per inch. (12" outside diameter, 8" inside diameter). Designed with the help of testing conducted by Iowa State University to determine the ultimate size for maximum water line protection.
Available in a variety of sizes to accomodate any application.
